In today's class, our attention is on our hips and legs. We'll begin with a wind-down and a refresher on mastering the exhale. Then, we'll dive into properly sensing our hamstrings, adductors, and quads. Anticipate a gradual build-up which will release your lower back muscles.
This class features the following Non-Manual Techniques from the Postural Restoration Institute:
-Right Sidelying Respiratory Resisted Left Adductor Pull Back
-Standing Supported Passive Left AF IR
-Standing Supported Left Knee Flexion with Right Psoas and Iliacus, Right Trunk Rotation and Right FA ER (modification)
You'll need the following equipment:
- A mat.
- Some wall space.
- A pillow.
- A rolled up towel.
- A hardback book.
- A chair, high stool or elevated surface to lean on.
- A Pilates ball, or second towel.
- A Big Swiss Ball or Foam Roller.
- Supportive shoes (optional but recommended).
